Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized sort parameter
Published Aug 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
SQL injection in ZoneMinder before 1.36.34 allows remote authenticated users to read database contents through the watch request. The watch.php AJAX handler concatenates the user-controlled sort value into the Events ORDER BY clause while binding only the result limit. A valid ZoneMinder session is required, and the demonstrated consequence is database extraction through a crafted time-based query.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
