Task disclosure via missing task authorization
Published Oct 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Incorrect authorization in vantage6 before 4.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read tasks through a collaboration API endpoint. The GET /api/collaboration/{id}/task handler checks permission to view the collaboration but omits the separate permission check required to view its tasks. Collaboration-view access is sufficient to enumerate task data that the account is not authorized to see, without user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
