Script execution via undisclosed reflected input
Published Sep 26, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected cross-site scripting in Restrict 2.2.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a crafted request. The public CNA record, vendor changelog, and advisory do not identify the affected request parameter or output sink; the changelog only says sanitization and output escaping were added. Exploitation requires a victim to open the attacker-controlled request, after which script runs in that visitor's WordPress origin with the visitor's session privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
