Authenticated browser script execution via capture traffic endpoint
Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Cross-site scripting in the FortiSandbox GUI allows remote authenticated users to execute browser code via crafted capture traffic requests. The capture traffic endpoint places attacker-controlled request data into generated GUI output without neutralizing script-capable content. Exploitation requires user interaction, and the published impact is limited to unauthorized modification in the affected browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=3.0.4 <=3.0.7
- Affected versionversion=3.1.0 <=3.1.5
- Affected versionversion=3.2.0 <=3.2.4
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <=4.0.6
