Reflected XSS via file ondemand rendering endpoint
Published Oct 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Reflected XSS in the Fortinet FortiSandbox file ondemand rendering endpoint allows remote attackers to execute script via crafted HTTP requests. The GUI endpoint returns attacker-controlled request data in generated page content without sufficient neutralization. Exploitation requires user interaction and an affected GUI session, where injected script can act with that session's browser access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.4.1
- Affected versionversion=2.5.0 <=2.5.2
