Spreadsheet formula execution via exported listing fields
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSV injection in wpWax Directorist 7.7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to embed formulas in exported listing data. The CSV exporter emits attacker-controlled listing values as spreadsheet cells without neutralizing formula-leading characters; public sources do not identify the affected field or function. Exploitation requires high-privilege access and a recipient to open the exported file in a formula-evaluating spreadsheet, which executes formula operations in that recipient's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
