Unauthenticated file read via undisclosed path traversal
Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Path traversal in the CGI component of Synology Router Manager before 1.3.1-9346-6 allows remote attackers to read specific files. Synology identifies the affected locus only as the CGI component and has not published the pathname field, endpoint, or normalization error involved. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of specific files rather than arbitrary file access.
