Authenticated stored XSS via unsanitized admin settings
Published Oct 2, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site scripting in nigauri Insert Estimated Reading Time 1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through admin settings. The plugin stores administrator-controlled values without sufficient input sanitization and later renders them without adequate output escaping, creating a persistent payload. Administrator-level access and a victim viewing the affected administrative or rendered content are required; the demonstrated impact is script execution in the victim's browser with confidentiality and integrity effects.
