CVE-2023-41719Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator-level code execution via unescaped log dates

Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Command injection in Ivanti Connect Secure before 22.6R2 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute code. The saveLog function in /dana-admin/log/logviewer.cgi appends loosely validated date values to a dstaillog command, allowing shell metacharacters to redirect attacker-controlled template content. Administrator access to the appliance is required; successful requests execute arbitrary commands as the appliance service account.
