Local privilege escalation via insecure file permissions
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Jan 7, 2025
Incorrect default permissions in Ivanti Secure Access Client before 22.6R1 allow local users to gain elevated privileges on Windows. Published records identify a controllable file in a privileged process flow but do not disclose the file name or the operation performed on it. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and control of that file; the resulting elevation can compromise the affected system.
