CVE-2023-41713Network attack vector

Credential exposure via hard-coded demo-function password

Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024

Credential exposure in the dynHandleBuyToolbar function in SonicWall SonicOS allows remote attackers to obtain a hard-coded password. The function embeds a static password directly in its source code instead of obtaining a unique protected secret. Network reachability is sufficient, but SonicWall has not disclosed which account or protected data the password exposes.
