Subscriber-level tracking activation via missing capability check
Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Missing authorization in Analytify 5.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to enable plugin usage tracking. The optin_yes() function accepts the opt-in action without checking the caller's WordPress capability, allowing a subscriber to change the tracking setting. Subscriber-level access is required, and the bounded consequence is an unauthorized integrity change to the plugin's telemetry preference.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
