Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Hide admin notices – Admin Notification Center 2.3.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter settings via forged requests. The saveSettings() function accepts state-changing requests without validating a WordPress nonce, so forged requests write attacker-chosen plugin configuration. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to open an attacker-controlled link or page; the documented consequence is limited to changing this plugin's settings.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
