Unauthorized news changes via missing request nonces
Published Oct 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in DAEXT Live News 1.06 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter news-ticker data through an authenticated user's browser. The Tickers, Featured News, and Sliding News back-end menus lack nonce fields that bind state-changing submissions to the user's intended action. Exploitation requires a logged-in user with access to one of those menus to submit an attacker-controlled request; the documented impact is unauthorized data modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
