Authenticated file disclosure via external XML entities
Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
XML external entity injection in GruppoSCAI RealGimm 1.1.37p38 allows remote authenticated users to read server files via XML import. The VerifichePeriodiche.aspx import path parses supplied XML with external DTD entity resolution enabled, allowing file contents to be sent to an attacker-controlled endpoint. Access to the maintenance import function is required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the web application's parser process.
