Cross-site permission access via unrestricted file upload
Published Sep 15, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Gradio 3.27.0 allows remote attackers to store arbitrary files through the /upload interface. The public record states only that /upload accepts attacker-controlled files into the shared system temporary directory; it does not disclose the missing validation or access-control operation. Impact requires another vulnerable site on the same server to expose those files, limiting the documented consequence to cross-site access to website permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
