CVE-2023-41612Public exploit

Root code execution via hardcoded SD-card key

Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Use of a hardcoded encryption key in Victure PC420 firmware 1.1.39 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code as root. The anyka_ipc main function decrypts enable_telnetd.dat from a mounted Micro SD card with 3DES and the hardcoded key 123, writes the plaintext to /tmp/autoexec.sh, and executes it as root during startup. Physical access to insert the crafted card and restart the camera is required; successful exploitation grants full control of the appliance.
