Stored XSS via unsanitized image-link href
Published Sep 14, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Stored XSS in Froala Editor 4.0.1 through 4.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted image link. The Insert Image component adds a user-supplied hyperlink to an image without sanitizing the anchor href before saved editor content is rendered. Exploitation requires an application to save the crafted editor output and a visitor to render it, exposing data and actions available to that browser session.
