LDAP data disclosure via unescaped search filter
Published Oct 2, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
LDAP injection in phpIPAM before 1.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary LDAP fields through a crafted POST request. The user-search endpoint places the attacker-controlled dname value into an LDAP filter after applying distinguished-name escaping rather than filter escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated phpIPAM session and configured LDAP integration, and disclosure is limited to fields accessible to the configured bind account.
