Authenticated file disclosure via backslash traversal
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 24, 2025
Path traversal in OA EKP 16 allows remote authenticated users to download arbitrary server files through the sysUiExtend.do endpoint. SysUiExtendAction blocks ../ in the id parameter but accepts Windows backslash traversal sequences, then packages the chosen path as a tarball. A valid session is required, and exploitation can expose the background administrator password and lead to database permissions without interrupting service.
