Reflected XSS via unescaped search keyword
Published Aug 30, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in phpjabbers PHP Forum Script 3.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser. The search form returns the keyword parameter as active markup in the forum preview page instead of neutralizing HTML before rendering it. No account is required, but a victim must open a crafted URL; injected script then runs in the site's browser origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
