Database read and write via unsanitized contact search
Published Aug 7, 2025 · Updated Aug 8, 2025
SQL injection in Hospital Management System 4.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data via app_contact. The appsearch.php handler concatenates the unsanitized app_contact POST value inside a quoted contact predicate and executes the resulting SQL query. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful injection exposes or modifies records accessible to the application's database account.
