Database compromise via interpolated patient contact
Published Aug 7, 2025 · Updated Aug 8, 2025
SQL injection in Hospital Management System 4 allows remote attackers to read or alter database records through patient_contact. patientsearch.php copies the POST value into a quoted SQL WHERE clause and executes the resulting string without parameterization or escaping. The script performs no session or authorization check, so direct network access permits database querying and exposure of patient names, email addresses, contacts, and passwords.
