Administrator-session script execution via unescaped attributes
Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated May 1, 2025
Reflected XSS in Metaphor Creations Ditty before 3.1.25 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The plugin places request parameters and generated URLs into administration-page attributes without sanitizing and escaping them. Exploitation requires a high-privilege user to follow a crafted URL, after which attacker-controlled script runs in that user's session.
