CVE-2023-41474Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Sensitive file disclosure via JSF resource traversal

Published Jan 25, 2024 · Updated Jun 12, 2025

Path traversal in the javax.faces.resource component of Ivanti Avalanche 6.3.4.153 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive files. The resource handler accepts an attacker-controlled loc directory and resource filename, then serves matching files beneath AvalancheWeb without confining the resolved path. The CVE record requires low privileges, while the public demonstration documents unauthenticated access on a default configuration.
