Stored XSS via unescaped segment names
Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Stored XSS in Pimcore Customer Management Framework before 3.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a segment name. DefaultViewFormatter::formatSegmentValue inserts the stored name into an HTML span without escaping it before returning the markup. The attacker needs low-privileged access to save a segment, and another user must view it; the script runs in that viewer's browser context.
