Browser script execution via unneutralized ID parameter
Published Sep 27, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Cross-site scripting in phpkobo AjaxNewTicker 1.0.5 allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser through index.php. The component places the attacker-controlled ID parameter into generated page content without neutralizing script syntax, causing the browser to interpret the payload as code. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted request; the resulting script runs in the AjaxNewTicker origin and can read or modify browser-accessible data.
