Path traversal in the F5 BIG-IP Configuration Utility allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through crafted requests. The utility's unzip handling accepts traversal paths that escape the intended extraction directory; F5 has not disclosed the affected handler. A low-privileged account is required, and Appliance mode makes successful command execution cross its security boundary.
