CVE-2023-41372

Client redirection via hardcoded broadcast encryption key

Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in Bosch Rexroth ctrlX HMI Web Panel WR21 before RC7 allow local users to redirect its Android Client server. The Android Client accepts a forged broadcast intent encrypted with a hardcoded RSA key pair and writes the supplied server settings. Exploitation requires an untrusted local application with low privileges, after which the client connects to an attacker-controlled server and exposes its communications to manipulation.
