CVE-2023-41368Network attack vector

Checkbook renaming via unauthorized OData update

Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Authorization bypass in SAP S/4HANA Manage Checkbook apps 102 through 107 allows remote authenticated users to rename checkbooks. The OData service accepts a simulated update call for a referenced checkbook without enforcing object-level authorization. High-privilege access to the network service is required, and the documented consequence is limited to changing the checkbook name.
