Database data disclosure via injectable sort parameter
Published Sep 1, 2023 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
SQL injection in Tine Groupware through 2023.01.14.325 allows remote attackers to access sensitive database data through the sort parameter. The Addressbook.searchContacts paging.sort value reaches an ORDER BY identifier without neutralization, allowing injected functions such as sleep to execute in the database query. The published request includes session cookies, while NVD rates privileges as unnecessary; exposure therefore depends on reachability of index.php, and exploitation can disclose database data.
