CVE-2023-41355Network attack vector

Traffic disclosure and service interruption via ICMP redirects

Published Nov 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 14, 2024

Improper ICMP redirect verification in the Nokia G-040W-Q G040WQR201207 allows remote attackers to alter its routing table. The firewall accepts crafted unauthenticated ICMP redirect requests instead of blocking them, installing attacker-directed routing changes. No authentication or interaction is required; the resulting route changes can disclose network traffic or interrupt service.
