Format string injection in ASUS RT-AX88U before 3.0.0.4_388_23748 allows remote authenticated users to leak memory or reset the router. The Advanced OpenVPN configuration-export path treats attacker-controlled data as a format string rather than fixed data, exposing memory or corrupting process state during expansion. Access to an authenticated management session and the export action is required; exploitation can disclose sensitive information or cause a reset that leaves the device permanently unavailable.
