CVE-2023-41347Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via faulty token filtering

Published Nov 3, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024

Command injection in the check-token module of ASUS RT-AX55 3.0.0.4.386.51598 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The module fails to neutralize special characters in attacker-controlled token data before incorporating that input into an operating-system command. An authenticated management session is required, and successful exploitation grants command execution that can disrupt the router or terminate services.
