Authenticated command execution via unfiltered token parameters
Published Nov 3, 2023 · Updated Sep 6, 2024
Command injection in ASUS RT-AX55 firmware 3.0.0.4.386.51598 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The token-generation module fails to filter special characters in supplied parameters before incorporating them into an operating-system command. Valid router credentials are required, and successful exploitation can disrupt the router or terminate its services.
