Unauthenticated route access via spoofed forwarded IP
Published Sep 8, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Authentication bypass in GoFiber Fiber before 2.49.2 allows remote attackers to access routes intended only for localhost. Ctx.IsFromLocal trusts the first IP address supplied in the X-Forwarded-For header instead of the transport peer address, so a loopback value makes the check return true. Applications are exposed only when they use this method to protect routes, and access remains confined to resources in the affected process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
