CVE-2023-41316Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Phishing via unescaped organization names in invitations

Published Sep 7, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Stored HTML injection in Tolgee Platform before 3.29.2 allows remote authenticated users to send crafted invitation emails. InvitationEmailSender interpolates an unescaped project or organization name into an HTML invitation message instead of neutralizing markup. A registered user must control an organization name and invite a recipient; the trusted-looking message supports phishing, while script execution depends on the email client's handling.
