Device restart via PMS buffer overflow
Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
PMS module buffer overflow in affected Huawei HarmonyOS and EMUI versions allows attackers to restart devices via unspecified vectors. The CNA maps the flaw to an unchecked buffer copy, but Huawei has not identified the PMS function, copied input, or triggering operation. The published scope covers HarmonyOS 3.0.0, 3.1.0, and 4.0.0 and EMUI 13.0.0; successful exploitation interrupts availability by rebooting the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
