Heap-based buffer overflow in QNAP QTS, QuTS hero, and QuTScloud allows remote authenticated users to execute code via the network. QNAP has not disclosed the affected component or the memory operation that overruns a heap allocation, leaving the crafted input and request path undisclosed. Administrative credentials are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code and can alter or interrupt the storage system.
