CVE-2023-41270Public exploit

Repeated reboots via unrestricted WPS attempts

Published Nov 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 29, 2024

Improper WPS authentication throttling in Samsung UE40D7000 firmware T-GAPDEUC-1033.2 and earlier allows attackers to reboot the TV. When Samsung Wireless Link is enabled, repeated EAPOL and WPS exchanges from WPS audit tools drive the television into a recurring reboot loop instead of limiting failed enrollment attempts. An attacker must be within Wi-Fi range, and the vendor assessment requires user interaction; the demonstrated consequence is a temporary viewing interruption.
