Unauthenticated root shell via network-exposed ADB su
Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Missing authentication in Bosch Rexroth ctrlX HMI Web Panel WR21 before RC7 build 20231107 allows remote attackers to obtain a root shell. The network-exposed Android Debug Bridge provides access to the installed su binary, which grants root without authenticating the caller. An unauthenticated attacker must reach the panel's subnet; successful access yields full control of the device.
