CVE-2023-41253

TSIG key disclosure via plaintext audit logging

Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Information disclosure in F5 BIG-IP allows local users to read plaintext TSIG keys from the audit log after a key is created. The DNS and DNS-licensed LTM modules write each newly created TSIG key to the audit log without redacting its secret material. A local low-privileged account with audit-log access can recover DNS authentication material; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
