Root code execution via StaticAddress command injection
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in D-Link DAP-1325 firmware 1.07b01 and earlier allows network-adjacent attackers to execute code as root. The HNAP1 SOAP SetHostIPv6StaticSettings handler passes the unvalidated StaticAddress request value into a system call. No authentication or user interaction is required, but access is limited to an adjacent network; successful exploitation grants full control of the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
