CVE-2023-41185Network attack vector

Service interruption via certificate-length integer overflow

Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Integer overflow in Unified Automation UaGateway 1.5.12 allows remote attackers to interrupt the service via a crafted client certificate. The client-certificate parser fails to validate the certificate length field before arithmetic, allowing the supplied value to overflow. No authentication or user interaction is required; public sources describe denial of service but do not identify whether the process hangs or crashes.
