Adjacent-network authentication bypass via unguarded SOAP API
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Authentication bypass in NETGEAR Orbi 760 firmware 6.3.6.4 allows attackers on the local network to access SOAP API functions. The SOAP API exposes functionality before performing authentication, but public advisories do not identify the affected endpoint or function. Reachability requires the WiFi password or an Ethernet connection to the device; successful bypass grants access to the functionality exposed by the omitted check.
