Authenticated script execution via crafted folder names
Published Sep 16, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Stored XSS in Webmin Usermin 2.000 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted folder name. Folder creation stores the folder name without neutralizing active content before rendering it in folder, dashboard, filter, and forwarding views. A victim must open an affected view, causing the script to run in that user's browser context with access to session-visible data and actions.
