Stored script execution via cron value field
Published Sep 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Stored XSS in Usermin 2.000 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a cron-job environment variable's value field. The scheduled cron jobs workflow stores the Value field without neutralizing web markup and later renders it, causing the browser to execute the supplied script. A valid low-privilege Usermin account and a later page view are required; execution occurs in the viewing user's browser and can read or alter page data.
