Authentication bypass via IP address spoofing

Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Authentication bypass in Michal Novák Secure Admin IP 2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass IP-based admin restrictions. The plugin's IP-based access-control check accepts a spoofed client address as an allowlisted source instead of establishing its authenticity. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and the published consequence is limited to bypassing the plugin's protective function.
