Authenticated profiling data deletion via unchecked DBMS_PROFILER permissions
Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Authorization bypass in EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server allows remote authenticated users to delete all system-wide profiling data. The DBMS_PROFILER package accepts the deletion operation without validating the caller's permission to remove accumulated records. Any authenticated database role can erase profiling data across the entire system, compromising the integrity of operational diagnostics.
