CVE-2023-41118Network attack vector

Authenticated file access via UTL_FILE authorization bypass

Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Authorization bypass in EDB EPAS before 11.21.32, 12.16.20, 13.12.17, 14.9.0, and 15.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to access server files. UTL_FILE exposes underlying implementation functions without enforcing authorization requirements for directory objects created by a superuser. Database authentication and a superuser-created CREATE DIRECTORY location are required; successful use permits file reads, writes, copies, renames, and deletions.
